Thank you for considering McHale as the source of subject matter experts and expert witnesses to the power generation industry.  We are an independent engineering agency recognized throughout the power generation market as leaders in providing risk mitigation and plant performance improvement services.  There are several elements that contribute to this distinction.

The McHale organization maintains unparalleled performance engineering resources.  Our principals and staff have extensive experience in design, startup, test, operations, and instrumentation & control of power generation facilities. We have provided engineering consulting, testing, and analysis services to well over 200,000 MWs of power plant capacity around the world, and this experience includes natural gas, fossil (coal, heavy oil, and distillate), renewable fuel, hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, and wind power plants.

ASME Performance Test Codes Medals 

As well regarded leaders in the industry we chair and support multiple ASME performance test code committees.  These include ASME Performance Test Codes Standards Committee (Term Completed), ASME PTC 46 Performance Test Code on Overall Plant Performance, ASME PTC 22 Performance Test Code on Gas Turbines, ASME PTC 52 Performance Test Code for Concentrating Solar Power Plants (Vice-Chair), PTC 6.2 Steam Turbines in Combined Cycles (Term Completed), and ASME PTC 51 Performance Test Code on Gas Turbine Inlet Air Conditioning Equipment (Term Completed).  We are active members on nine additional committees including ASME PTC 6 Steam Turbines and ASME PTC 4.4 Heat Recovery Steam Generators.

Our unique combination of experienced staff, track record of testing excellence, and leadership participation in the ASME Performance Test Codes, qualifies us as able to identify and resolve technical issues with manufacturers, owners, lender’s engineers, and/or their legal representation.
