Quality Control
Focused on Testing Quality Controls using Valid Protocols

The most important questions McHale Environmental can answer for you are “Is the data accurate?” and “How do you prove it?” We provide comprehensive quality control services to ensure those questions are answered as correctly as possible. The accuracy of quality control is dictated by sampling and analytical methods, as well as approved test protocols and Lapp.

McHale personnel were one of the primary authors of ATM D7036-04 which is the quality standard for Air Emission Testing Bodies. As part of this standard, we have passed the QSTI tests and have written a quality manual that we adhere to on all testing jobs.

Developing

Our trained and qualified personnel follow set EPA procedures and QA/QC control requirements. This includes leak checks, calibrations, and internal or external spikes. Additionally, emissions sampling data is evaluated on-site to ascertain that all requirements and objectives are met before leaving the site. When the report is submitted, a section is dedicated to explaining how the data was collected and analyzed. The questions are answered with external controls, strict adherence to standard procedures, and a report documenting the results. Quality control is ensured by:

    Internal QA/QC

    The procedures for internal QA/QC checks are implemented at McHale Environmental to ensure that the quality metrics for each method used in a test project are met. The QAPP document will serve as the quality assurance document for sampling and analysis. The Project Manager/Field Team Leader will review and sign the document as well as providing a daily check to ensure if the required criteria are met. Manual methods quality checklists are filled out daily, while laboratory quality checklists will be completed and checked at the appropriate time.
