Its historic certification mark, Eurovent Certified Performance, is well recognized around the world, with an international accreditation to ISO17065 the standard for Certification bodies.
McHale & Associates, Inc. as a CTI Licensed Test Agency for Drift Testing has been selected to provide drift certification services for Eurovent in conjunction with the testing facilities at 4Jtech s. r. o (Ltd.) in Prague, Czech Republic. Drift eliminator certification is performed under the ECC technical certification rules ECP 14-DE-2023, and guidance of CTI ATC 140-2023. The most recent update to drift rate test result declarations to comply with LEEDs green building rating system.
The original scope of the drift eliminator certification program was developed in 2009 by industry experts utilizing a controlled laboratory environment to obtain a drift rate at specified operating conditions for both air velocity & water loading. In addition, the drift breakthrough air velocity, the air velocity for which drift losses become visible at any point of the drift eliminator, is determined and expressed in m/s. McHale is proud to have supported these efforts since the first testing campaign in 2009.
Drift eliminator testing requirements continue to increase to meet geographic governmental environmental regulations not only in Europe but also World-wide. Regulations to consider are: French norm NF E 38-424; incentive schemes i.e. LEED green building rating system; and other industry needs. Therefore, Eurovent is supporting these industry needs together with our testing experts McHale & Associates, Inc. and laboratory experts 4Jtech.
